Duties and Responsibilities
Receiving, analyzing, and processing new construction and repair/maintenance work orders for all gas mains andservices. Includes posting of proposed mains. Updating and/or creating records in databases, includingDistribution Order System (DOS – main orders, FWO orders, and service record), Customer Service Solution(CSS), and Lotus Notes – Automated Service Application (ASA), STORMS, and ESRI GIS, to reflect fieldinstallations, updates, and abandonments. Ensuring accuracy and integrity of all orders and systems, as well ascompleteness of all main order and FWO packages. Receiving, interpreting, and processing annexations,easements, highway road projects, right-of-way plats, certified survey maps, subdivision plats, and addresschanges. Interpreting legal descriptions and metes and bounds. Creating and maintaining construction drawingsas requested by Engineers by utilizing information received from State representatives, internal sources andothers for land additions and changes. Verifying accuracy of customer information in computer systems.Maintaining and providing distribution system maps and high pressure maps. Creating year-end reports forservices not digitized, service errors, and mismatched services/premises. Researching and printing of recordsand data related to existing gas facilities.
Education and Experience Requirements

Applicant must have one of the following:
-Minimum of 2 years of GIS or CAD work experience in the past 5 years; or-One (1) year of GIS or CAD work experience within the past 5 years plus 4 completed courses in GIS technologyfrom an accredited post-secondary vocational school or college, completed within the past 5 years; or
-Have a certificate in GIS Technology or completed equivalent coursework (6 courses in GIS technology) from anaccredited post-secondary vocational school or college, earned/completed within the past 5 years.
Familiarity with gas Construction Standards, codes, and symbology preferred. Knowledge of computer softwareand databases, including GIS (ESRI), Windows XP, MicroStation V8, Distribution Order System (DOS – MainOrders, Field Work Orders, Service Record, and STORMS), Customer Service Solution (CSS), Lotus NotesAutomated Service Application (ASA), Field Access to Automated Records (FAAR), MrSid, Microsoft Terra Serveralso preferred.
