The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) seeks interested candidates to fill the Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Analyst position. This individual will be responsible for performing District-wide analysis for GIS related data, responding to internal/external analysis requests, assisting with project planning, investigating historic events, supporting user needs through existing GIS tools/applications, and developing new GIS tools/applications.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in GIS, computer science, engineering, geography, environmental science or related field and four to five years of related experience. The selected candidate must also have the following: thorough knowledge of computerized mapping, GIS, equipment and software (ESRI), Spatial Analyst, 3D Analyst and other ESRI extensions; an aptitude and/or experience in electronic document management systems; strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills; and strong written and verbal communication skills. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be acceptable.
Residency within MMSD boundaries (which includes Milwaukee County excluding South Milwaukee) required within one year.
