BASIC FUNCTION
The Project Analyst must be able to develop creative GIS solutions in a fast-paced environment for diverse internal customers ranging between Manufacturing and Hospitality groups. Effective communication and keen business accruement are necessary qualities to be successful in this role. Under the Operations Supports Group, candidates are expected to perform analysis, modeling and develop GIS applications to meet specific business goals. Other non-GIS duties included coordinating office moves, tracking space utilization and reporting.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop GIS Web applications using Flex and/or Silverlight for specific business needs and facilities management workflows.
- Perform advanced GIS data analysis, modeling and data conversions.
- Create and manage geodatabases and feature datasets.
- Ability to generate and publish maps with advance symbols, labels and annotation.
- Coordinate corporate employee and department moves.
- Provide conceptual office space layout and cost estimates based on space program and customer’s requirements.
- Perform field audits of office space occupancy.
TECHNICAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in ArcGIS 10 desktop and server technology to perform spatial analysis, manipulate data and publish maps.
- Demonstrated ability in geodatabase development, processing and integration.
- Demonstrated ability to develop GIS Web applications using Flex, Flash and Silver Light technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to perform detail GIS analysis using Business Analyst, Network Analyst and 3D.
- Demonstrated ability of Enterprise GIS database support, maintenance and management.
- Must possess a thorough knowledge of ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Microsoft Outlook.
- Must have the ability to manage and organize documents within the Windows XP operation system.
- Must be able to learn new software systems as the work process evolves.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work simultaneously.
- AutoCAD experience required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a GISP certificate.
- Must have 3-5 yrs of geodatabase and application development using ESRI technology.
- Must be proficient in SQL.
- Must have the ability to deploy and configure ArcGIS Server in .NET environment.
- Previous experience working with computers and related software packages such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook is required.
- Experience in project procurement/accounting and supporting project managers is desired.
