Experienced Airport Planner

This growth has created exceptional opportunities for an experienced airport planner to join and grow with the firm. Responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to: developing and managing aviation planning projects such as airport master plans, airport layout plans, airport studies, airport land use plans, and NEPA environmental regulation documents; organizing and attending client and public meetings; researching aviation related issues; mentoring less experienced staff; and general project management. Travel will be necessary.

The successful candidate must have a bachelor’s degree or higher in planning or related field (such as urban or regional planning, transportation planning; civil engineering or aviation management), and at least three years of relevant airport planning experience.

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following: experience with airport master plans, airport layout plans, airport studies, land use compatibility plans; working knowledge of FAA planning guidance and procedure; working knowledge of NEPA and FAA environmental guidelines; GIS and/or CAD experience; project management experience; strong communication and organizational skills; excellent research and writing skills; experience speaking at public meetings; ability to work well independently or with a team.
