Job Duties:

This position is a member of the Bureau of Information Technology Services (BITS), Customer Information Technology Services (CITS) North Area IT Unit and is located at the Eau Claire DOT office.  This position is responsible for performing workstation and network support, IT asset management, IT budget planning and analysis, business systems support, automation consultation, implementation, enhancement, training, and support for existing hardware, software, and networking services for customers in multiple divisions throughout the CITS North area.

    –  Monitors, printers, modems, scanners, memory chips, processors, SCSI cards, CD Writers, and removable drives
    –  Network cabling
– Remote PC setup and support
– Handheld device setup and support

Networking:
– Understanding Wide Area, Local Area Network and Virual Private Network software, concepts, and   equipment
– Mainframe to LAN communications
– Network services

MIS skills:
– User need analysis
– Strong problem solving skills
– Advanced written and verbal communication skills
– Ability to work in effectively as a team member
– Ability to handle multiple tasks
