The intern will work closely with the City’s Planning Director and GIS Coordinator to learn day-to-day operations. Projects may include: updates to the City’s utility networks, data base maintenance, map production and general data collection; may work on special projects or other assignments as needed. Application Deadline: 4:30 pm, August 26th 2011.
Preferred Class Standing:
Sophomore, Junior or Senior.
Qualifications:
Students working towards degrees in Planning, GIS, and/or Engineering
Computer Skills:
Microsoft Word and Excel; ESRI ArcMap required; knowledge of AutoCad a plus.
Hours Per Week:
Minimum 10 hours per week up to 37.5 hours per week.
Pay:
$11.24 / hour (no other benefits associated with position).
Work Schedule:
September 2011 through December 2011
