The American Geographical Society Library (AGSL) is seeking a responsible, detail-oriented student to work 10-20 hours per week during the school year and 20-40 hours per week over the summer. Duties include processing digital data requests for patrons, working on various GIS-related projects and performing general library tasks. The AGSL is open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm.
Desired skills:
- Basic understanding of maps and map projections
- Basic GIS coursework
- Familiarity with ESRI software, including ArcGIS
- Familiarity with AutoCAD file formats, Adobe Photoshop helpful
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Server and georeferencing also helpful
