Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Research Specialist will be an important member of a team conducting research on how environmental factors may influence developmental problems like autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Primary duties include performing data linkages, creating variables, performing epidemiological data analysis, generating tables, figures, and maps to communicate results, and maintaining relevant documentation of processes and output datasets. Secondary duties include serving as a point person for data security protocols and pursuing continued training in relevant software applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, 2 years research experience, and advanced level skills in a statistics or geographic software package (such as SAS, STATA, R, S+,orArc-GIS).
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred candidates will have a master’s degree and proficiency in both a statistics and geographic software package.
