Chief Geospatial Information Officer - State of Minnesota
- Serve as the State’s Geospatial Information Officer, providing leadership and management of the Office of Enterprise Technology’s Geospatial Unit
- Advise the State Chief Information Officer regarding policy, strategy, and operational matters concerning the unit
- Promote and guide GIS coordination activities of OET, and other state agencies on behalf of the State of Minnesota
- Support the implementation and maintenance of a statewide clearinghouse of geographic information, data, tools, and services
Minimum Qualifications
- Advanced degree demonstrating expertise in GIS, geography, methods of statistical analysis and modeling, and information technology
- Ability to integrate broad GIS and geography knowledge into strategic, policy, and operational objectives
- Advanced-professional communication skill sufficient to work effectively with diverse clientele
- Working knowledge of current and emerging GIS technology
- Managerial or leadership experience in a related setting
