Environmental GIS Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Create maps and perform a wide range of geospatial analyses in support of environmental permitting associated with major infrastructure projects.
• Collect data in the field with GPS units and import data into project geodatabases.
• Manage wide variety of project-specific and reference geospatial data.
• Update and maintain mapping standards and work processes

Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree in environmental science with a demonstrated emphasis in GIS.
• Experience building and maintaining a GIS for the environmental permitting associated with major infrastructure projects.
• Ability to travel overnight and perform fieldwork in strenuous conditions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Knowledge of Midwestern ecosystems and plant communities.
