The purpose of this position is to create, manage and maintain individual records and resource inventories as required to develop and maintain land use agreements, permits, and licenses administered through the Department of Land Conservation & Forest Management. This is a limited term position which will not exceed 975 hours.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
- Assist in the initial permitting, licensing or license renewal of non-metallic mines, animal waste storage facilities and stormwater facilities.
- Prepare resource inventories and summary reports.
- Prepare plan maps and files.
- Assist in the development and management of records and contracts used to support program activities implemented through the Land and Water Conservation Division, Forest and Trails Division and Recycling Division of the LCFM.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Department Director/County Conservationist or Conservation Programs & Grants Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
Two years post-secondary education in natural resources, conservation, or geography; or HS diploma/GED with two years recent work experience in natural resources. Must have a valid driver license. Must show proven competency in the use of ArcView GIS software. Must have working knowledge of legal descriptions.
