Job Duties:
The primary duty of this position consists of the creation, maintenance and revisions of gas facilities and land base data in the Electronic Mapping System (ESRI). The incumbent will interpret, validate and integrate new construction and maintenance orders, annexations, easements, certified survey maps and highway road projects received from various sources in the field. This position will interact with various customers, including internal employees, the DOT and other municipalities. Performs other research and support duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
Applicant must have one of the following: Minimum of 2 years of GIS or CAD work experience in the past 5 years; or 1 year of GIS or CAD work experience within the past 5 years plus 4 completed courses in GIS technology from an accredited post-secondary vocational school or college, completed within the past 5 years; or have a certificate in GIS Technology or completed equivalent coursework (6 courses in GIS technology) from an accredited post-secondary vocational school or college, earned/completed within the past 5 years.
