Geographic Information System (GIS) Intern
The City of Fond du Lac is accepting applications for a Geographic Information System (GIS) Intern. This position will assist with the development and maintenance of our enterprise GIS.
Candidates should have the skills to perform the following tasks:
- GIS data conversion and creation
- QA/QC
- Map creation
- Web-based map development
- Programming and scripting
- Field data collection using tablet devices and GPS receivers
Candidates should be familiar with working with enterprise geodatabases, interpreting plan drawings, and creating topologically consistent data for municipal infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be in a GIS-related field of study, and should have experience with ArcGIS 10.x and extensions, AutoCAD 2010, Microsoft Office 2010 (Access, Excel, Publisher, Word), Python, ArcSDE technology, Microsoft SQL Server, ArcGIS Server and Silverlight/FLEX , as well as Trimble GPS receivers and Pathfinder Office software.
