We have an immediate opening within the hei geo group for a GIS Project Manager specializing in GIS and Application Development in our Maple Grove, MN location. We’re looking for someone capable of applying their passion, creative technical expertise, and project management experience to solve the technology needs in the areas of GIS and application development. We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about GIS, web applications, mobile technologies, has excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Working with clients to define project and software requirements
• Developing work plans including tasks, schedules, and budgets
• Managing and leading project teams through the entire lifecycle of application development or GIS projects including requirements, design, build, test, and deployment
• Managing and developing new client relationships
• Perform GIS administrative tasks such as ArcGIS Server and Enterprise Geodatabase design and setups
• Perform routine GIS and programming tasks as needed

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Computer Science or related field, a minimum of 2 years experience designing and deploying GIS solutions and an excellent understanding of GIS and IT software products from desktop to server to development tools. Experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS Server software and web mapping APIs is required. Candidates should have experience with configuring and managing ArcGIS server and publishing map services. Experience with enterprise geodatabases and software such as MS SQL database and ArcSDE is also ideal.The ideal candidate will have prior experience with web or mobile application development.Interest or experience with GIS applications for water resources, engineering and local government will be considered a plus.Programming experience with ESRI Flex API is also considered a plus.

This is a full-time position offering competitive pay, yearly bonuses, and an excellent benefits package including company paid health, dental, vision, short-and long-term disability, and life insurance. Other benefits include PTO, paid holidays, and generous 401(k) and profit sharing plans with company contributions totalingup to 15% of annual salary. A signing bonus is also provided with this position.
