The Department of Geography at the University of Iowa invites applications for the position of Systems Administrator. This individual will be responsible for the support and administration of the department’s geographic information science teaching laboratory, faculty and administrative computers, and a graduate-level research computer laboratory. Applicants should possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, or related discipline and three years of experience supporting GIS application and instruction and computer administration. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience conducting GIS related research, facilitating student and faculty projects, and providing introductory workshops and training on GIS.
