Summary:
The Department of Transportation is excited to announce two IS Systems Development Services Specialist positions: DBM Project Leader and GIS Project Leader. These positions provide application development leadership through all phases of development for complex projects which have significant Department impact. Both positions are located in the Division of Business Management, Bureau of Information Technology Services, Application Development – Modal and Corporate Section.

Job Duties:
These positions require project and technical leadership for application development activities in the Database Management and Geographic Information Systems Units. These activities are part of the development and implementation of highly complex information technology systems that support the Department. Both positions must be able to define architectural direction for the software development team, provide problem diagnosis and resolution support for web applications, and review architectural and software specifications. In addition, these positions will perform advanced systems analysis and programming functions for complex IT projects. Working with a project team, this position must be able to coordinate activities within the team as well as beyond the primary application areas.
