Milwaukee Transport Services, Inc., operator of the Milwaukee County Transit System, is seeking candidates for the position of Transit Planner. This position is responsible for analyzing data needed to develop and evaluate transit service and formulate recommendations and plans. Also assists with the collection and maintenance of ridership data and prepares written reports and maps.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Urban Geography, or Urban/Transportation related field. Master’s degree or enrollment in Master’s degree program preferred.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze and report findings.
• Working knowledge and competence with MS Office products, GIS software and other
related technology.
• Conceptual understanding of transit planning fundamentals and transit schedules.
• Self-starter with excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
