Front End Developer

Fishidy is a rapidly growing technology firm based in Madison, WI. We are map-based fishing social network with mobile and online fishing maps and a revolutionary set of mobile apps and website focused on helping anglers catch more fish and connect with one another. We use agile development processes and offer excellent compensation and benefits plans. A love of fishing is a nice bonus.

We are currently looking for a talented .NET engineer with a few years of experience in front-end web development.

The ideal candidate is passionate about technology in general and excellence in web development in particular. Working in an agile team is something you’ve embraced a number of years ago and you’d find it hard to work any other way.

Development Skills:

• .NET MVC4 (c#) / RAZOR
• HTML5, javascript, jquery, css, LESS, Dojo
• Experience with bootstrap
• Knowledge of responsive design
• Experience with mobile web development
• Experience with non-relational db (e.g. MongoDB)
• Experience with source control (Git, Mercurial, etc)
• GIS development experience is a plus (we user ESRI)

Essential Attitude, Skills and Experience

• Ability to work with other team members to estimate effort, propose and work towards realistic delivery milestones, deliver quality software at a fast pace.
• Proven capacity to take a suggestion for a new feature, ask the right questions, flesh out the detail, understand the impact on other parts of the product, create user stories, estimate them and then deliver value one iteration at a time.
• Professional, high-integrity, reliable, organized, driven, and results-oriented.
• Very good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills (experience using Basecamp or similar is a plus).

We will consider candidates from anywhere in the USA who have a proven record of working remotely. Some travel to Madison, WI will be required
