Ayres Associates, an employee owned multi-specialty architectural/engineering consulting firm providing services from a network of 13 offices in seven states – Wisconsin, Minnesota, Florida, Georgia, Colorado, Arizona, and Wyoming currently has a full-time opening for a Project Surveyor/Project Manager in our Waukesha or Madison, Wisconsin office

Qualifications:

Position requires a Wisconsin Registered Land Surveyor registration and a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.  Candidate must be well versed in transportation and municipal surveying tasks and the use of Civil 3D, GPS and robotic surveying equipment. Occasional field work and travel is required. 

Previous experience managing multiple survey projects and registration in other states a plus.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will serve in a project surveyor/project management role for the survey component of in house or external projects by assisting engineering staff in scope development, budget, fee, schedule and execution, and will be the primary communication link between survey staff and the client.  Implements QA/QC practices for final survey deliverables and follows OSHA required safety practices. 

Schedules and directs the work of survey staff to meet project objectives.  Works effectively with our other regional offices by work sharing on a variety of surveying and mapping tasks.  Type of work includes topographic surveys for transportation, bridge, hydrographic, utility, municipal, environmental, and site development; photogrammetry/LiDAR ground control; land surveys including ALTA, CSM, subdivision plats and preparation of Transportation Project Plats and traditional right of way plats. 

Successful candidate will be expected to actively pursue continuing education, training, or professional development activities to remain current with industry standards.
