Supervisor – GIS Services

Integrys Business Support, a subsidiary of Integrys Energy Group, is currently recruiting for a Supervisor-GIS Services Production for our office in Green Bay, WI. This position reports to the Manager- Gas Distribution Design North. 

As the Supervisor – GIS Services, you will be responsible for the leadership and supervision of the GIS Services Group, and management of the GIS facilities mapping system, ensuring the integrity of maps and associated corporate plant records for gas and/or electric distribution systems of Integrys business units. You will provide leadership to the GIS Services Group, including coaching, staffing, budgeting, planning, organizing and process improvement. 

Additional Responsibilities: 

•  Serve as liaison between the GIS Services Group and other Integrys business support departments. Prepare annual work plans for the GIS Group and coordinate resource needs with the Integrys business units and other support departments. Serve as member of inter departmental teams as necessary to balance resource needs and prioritize projects. 
•  Provide administration of the GIS Services Group: Coordination and prioritization of special mapping projects, including mapping requirements for acquired facilities, facilities relocations for road and highway projects, the National Pipeline Mapping System, and other special requests. Provide clear direction and regular communication to GIS Services Group regarding mapping backlog status, work group issues, corporate direction or policy, etc. Manage work group expenses to meet budget requirements. Apply quality control measures to completed maps and data entry by GIS Services Group and institute process improvement based on those measures. 
•  Identify, evaluate and develop best practices related to facilities mapping and associated applications, and facilitate sharing those practices throughout Integrys business units and support departments. Champion and support use of mobile GIS systems, stay abreast of new products, technologies and services related to mobile mapping for possible application at Integrys. Provide technical support and training to work group and customers of GIS systems.

Minimum Qualifications

•  Bachelors Degree in a technical or business discipline 
•  3+ years experience completing projects using Project Management methodologies 
•  3+ years experience with facilities mapping and record keeping utilizing GIS systems 
•  3+ years informal leadership experience including team building, planning, facilitation, coaching and influencing others

Preferred Qualifications

•  Formal leadership experience 
•  Experience with report writing, project justification, and feasibility studies
