Summary
This is a internship opportunity (600 hours). Rock County has implemented a new ArcGIS Server website. The current design is an “all-in-one” map. The primary task for the intern will be help design user focused web maps. The intern will also be responsible for several smaller projects as needed by planning staff including, but not limited to, creating or updating economic development maps, and classifying point cloud LiDAR data.
- Web map development.
- Classify Point Cloud LiDAR data.
- Works with Economic Development Manager to create and update maps.
- Performs other duties as required.
Job Requirements, Education, Training & Experience:
· Graduate or undergraduate student or recent graduate who is self-motivated with a background in Geographic Information Systems, WEB GIS, geodatabase design, land use planning, regional planning, economic development or geography.
· Experience using ArcMap and ArcGIS Server is required.
Success Factors (KSA’s):
· Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
· Ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision, after training.
· Experience using ArcMap and ArcGIS Server
· Experience using FLEX and Python preferred
· Familiarity with ArcGIS Online.
· Ability to use logic and reasoning to solve problems.
· Ability to be self-motivated
