JOB DETAILS:
Excellent opportunity to enhance an established undergraduate geospatial curriculum and several GIS professional certificate programs. Primary responsibilities are teaching traditional and on-line GIS courses. Other responsibilities include securing extramural funding and conducting applied GIS research. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in teaching geo-spatial techniques, distance learning and on-line instruction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
– At least 3 years of geo-spatial techniques teaching experience.
– Master’s degree.
Preferred:
– Ph.D.

CAMPUS INFORMATION:
The UWSP Department of Geography/Geology is located within the College of Letters and Science, the largest of four colleges within the University. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is the only bachelorette degree-granting institution in the north-central part of the state. Founded in 1894 as a teacher-training institution, UWSP now offers more than 50 undergraduate majors and confers master degrees in 12 disciplines. Total enrollment surpasses 9,500 students.
