Summary
Under the direction of the Technical Services Manager, provide engineering support to the engineering department which will include water main inspection, recordkeeping, and GIS mapping functions.
Responsibilities to include:
- Assist in the inspection of water main and other distribution system installations.
- Research records, maps, and other data to obtain information such as location of stubs, water mains, hydrants, etc.
- Assist in the collection and maintenance of field data using GPS equipment and software.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and good driving record.
- Post High School Civil Engineering, Construction Technology or related formal training.
- Knowledge of surveying principals, geography, land records, or ESRI mapping systems is desirable.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently. Proven accuracy with an attention to detail.
- Must be 18 or older and a full time student.
Normal duty hours:
7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday. Some additional hours may be required.
Hourly Pay:
$10.00 – $13.00 (Depending upon qualifications)
