Limited Term Wetland Technician

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wetland Technician will perform a variety of field work tasks to evaluate wetland condition at potentially restorable wetlands. The primary tasks will include wetland plant identification; identification of hydric soil and wetland hydrology indicators, map project boundaries and plots. Successful Candidate is required to have knowledge and experience of wetland soils and will provide support with the development of monitoring and restoration plans at selected restorable wetland sites.

DUTIES:
1. Evaluate potentially restorable wetlands.
2. Assist with delineations of wetlands by analyzing boundaries of hydric soils units during on-site
wetland determinations.
3. Assist with site design and implement monitoring plans for restorable sites.
4. Assist with monitoring well installation and data collection.
5. Efficiently use ArcMap, ArcPad, Microsoft Office.
6. Assist with data entry and preparing technical reports.
7. Must maintain an acceptable departmental attendance record.
8. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
9. Required to attend job related, in-service, meetings, and training to maintain professional and
technical knowledge.
10. Must adhere to tribal law and other applicable laws as well as tribal personnel policies and
procedures.
11. May be required to satisfactorily complete an exam or other testing requirement(s) to determine
skill proficiency.
