Staff Environmental Engineer/Scientist

GEI Consultants, Inc. continues to grow and expand, both in our technical services offerings and geographic coverage. GEI is currently seeking Project Professionals to help expand its growing business and further establish our office in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area.

Primary Responsibilities:

 

  • Under supervision of the senior staff, candidates will work on a variety of environmental projects throughout the region.
  • Responsibilities will include conducting environmental site assessments, including test borings, monitor well installation, aquifer testing and environmental sampling.  The role may also involve some environmental compliance and permitting opportunities.
  • Candidates will be responsible for providing technical oversight to subcontractors, including review of invoices and work proposals.
  • In addition, candidates can expect to perform data management and analysis, prepare reports and assist in preparation of and delivery of technical presentations with clients and or regulators.
  • This position has a field component; travel and some overnight travel are required.  Candidates should be prepared to work in inclement conditions.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Environmental Geology or Hydrogeology.  M.S. is a plus.
  • Excellent computer skills with technical analysis software, GIS, CAD, MS Office, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other computer applications.
  • Good report writing and excellent communication skills are required; willing and able to travel on short-term assignments as needed.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s license
  • Willingness and ability to perform field tasks and oversight year round, as required without restrictions.
