Responsible for importing, analyzing, extracting, and performing quality assurance on data collected by the organization and preparing this data for delivery to our customers. Individuals will perform these tasks using processes and methodologies developed by the company and deliver data within acceptable quality standards in a timely manner.
Duties and responsibilities are as follows: Import data accurately and efficiently from hard drives to network storage system. Import data in an organized fashion and follow the data structure procedures. View, edit, extract, and correct data. Examine data folders for correct nomenclature, internal structure, and coordinate references. Document data discrepancies and bring to the attention of the data project manager. Copy and burn data to optical media or external storage drives.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working proficiency and knowledge of word processing software such as MS Word, Text Editor; Spreadsheet software such as MS Excel; Internet software such as Web Browsers, Google Maps, Instant Messenger and e-mail programs. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Work in a self-reliant, self-motivated and detail-oriented manner. Work independently and make decisions without direct oversight of a supervisor while at the same time work in a group/team.
Hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.
