The Gas System Associate Analyst is responsible for supporting the engineering processes that use Geographic Information System (GIS) and the information that is integrated with the GIS. Oversee the development of engineering solutions and business strategies that depend on distribution facility records. Support gas asset management strategies in various areas such as mapping, facility documentation and code compliance activities.

Major Duties/Responsibilities include:

• Manage the process for integrating GIS with the Integrity Management Program (IMP) requirements and with other databases and records such as Service Record, Customer Service Solution (CSS) and the valve, corrosion and regulator databases.
• Manage the process that involves Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) data management, pressure system updates, and assessment indication mapping for Integrity Management.
• Manage the process for updating corrosion areas and the creation of reports
• Conduct quality assurance for company and contractor employees
• Perform Field Access to Automated Records (FAAR) map viewer acceptance testing and conduct training of gas employees.
• Perform GIS viewer acceptance testing and conduct training of gas employees
• Develop solutions to make better use of GPS coordinate data captured during the construction of gas facilities.
• Resolve maps and records issues where a lack of information exists or where the current systems cannot accommodate the information. Determine necessary data model changes to these systems.
• Provide backup support for the Supervisor – Maps and Records, during times of absence or as dictated by workload.

This position is located at our downtown Milwaukee office.

Education/Experience Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate fundamental technical knowledge and analytical skills. Experience in directly related technical field is beneficial such as gas distribution operations, process control operations, mapping/GPS applications, corrosion prevention operations, gas system control operations and/or gas distribution code compliance. Demonstrates effective analytical problem solving skills and effective oral/written communication skills.
