Planner

The Wood County Planning and Zoning Department has an opening for a full-time Planner position. The primary purpose of this position is to provide planning services to Wood County and municipalities within its jurisdiction, participate in land records modernization projects and perform special planning/zoning projects. Enables Wood County to remain eligible for a variety of grant programs and compliant with state and federal planning requirements and other regulations.

Essential requirements include: Bachelor’s degree in Urban Planning, Geography or related field; three to five years planning and zoning experience, or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. Proficient with Esri Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software and Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. This position requires travel to and from off-campus sites. Individual may use personal vehicle or other means of reliable transportation.
