The City of Fond du Lac is accepting applications for a Geographic Information System (GIS) intern. This position will assist with GIS project support across various City departments, as well as the development and maintenance of the City’s enterprise GIS.
Candidates should have the skills and experience necessary to perform the following tasks: GIS data conversion and creation; data QA/QC; map creation; and field data collection. Candidates should be familiar with working with geodatabases (design, creation, editing, etc.), interpreting plan drawings, scripting, and digitizing.
Qualifications: GIS experience or be in a GIS-related field of study; experience with ArcGIS 10.x and Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD 2010, Python, ArcSDE, and Microsoft SQL Server is a plus.
