Planning Intern

Position Description:

Rock County Planning is beginning to archive historic mylar maps and orthophotographs. The intern hired in this position will work with the Planning Department, the County Surveyor and the IT Department to scan these documents, index them and begin georeferencing the orthophotographs. The intern will also work with other Planning staff on projects as needed. Possible side projects may including working with the Zoning Administrator and Economic Development Manager, working on GIS Apps for the website, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Graduate or undergraduate student or recent graduate who is self-motivated with a background in Geographic Information Systems, WEB GIS, geodatabase design, land use planning, regional planning, economic development or geography. 
• Experience using ArcMap and ArcGIS Server is required.
