Continental Properties Company, Inc. is looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a GIS/Market Research Intern for summer, 2015 (or sooner if possible) at our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. This position works directly with our Director of Market Research and the Market Research team on a wide range of site and market research related projects.
What you’ll do:
- Prepare and update maps for multifamily and retail development projects (e.g. apartment locations, retail locations, major employers, and demographics).
- Create and update a variety of geospatial datasets.
- Prepare aerial photo maps, demographic maps, and other map products.
- Research information in support of real estate development projects, including wetlands, floodplains, traffic counts, competitive properties, demand drivers, and more.
- Perform other types of research as needed.
What we need:
- Experience with ArcGIS is required.
- Experience with ArcGIS Business Analyst preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Able to work 30‐40 hours per week during the summer.
- Ability to learn quickly and take direction/instruction.
- Strong work ethic and an unmatched attention to detail.
