Planning, Zoning, Land & Water Intern

Calumet County is accepting applications for a student intern to assist with one or more of the following responsibilities:

• Culvert inventory for state, county and town roads
• Field erosion checks for compliance of state and local regulations
• Collection of water samples
• Compilation of a County business directory for tourism and economic development purposes
• Assist with inventory and data entry of sanitary maintenance reports
• Perform final inspections for zoning permits
• Conduct an inventory of all barns in the County to determine use and evaluate current zoning regulations
• Other miscellaneous duties, as assigned

Qualified candidates will be a student in pursuit of, or a recent graduate with, a Bachelors or Associate Degree in the fields of conservation, soils, hydrology, planning, GIS, or related field; and possess a valid Wisconsin Driver’s License and access to reliable transportation.

Wage is $12.50 per hour, with hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., (37.5 hours per week). Position duration is approximately 450 hours. Apply with on-line application. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
