Programmer

Continental Mapping has an immediate opening for a Computer Programmer in our Sun Prairie, WI or St. Louis, MO office. Responsibilities will include software development of tools and applications related to geospatial data production including database and user interface design and development as well as the development of general office automation tools and database manipulation. Documentation and user training may also be required. Working with geospatial production personnel who will assist in testing will be a critical function of this position.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A degree in Geography and/or Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
• Experience developing tools and applications that relate to geospatial data production
• Experience working in a .Net environment with Visual Basic and C# as well as Java and Python
• Experience developing software that interfaces with ArcGIS data sets and tools
• Geospatial open source software development experience
• Data warehousing and real-time data mart population experience
• Experience porting previously developed source code and tools to a new development environment
• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen and may require the ability to obtain and maintain and U.S. Government Security Clearance

Candidates must exhibit a positive attitude, have excellent communication and leadership skills, and have strong references.
