Job Duties:
This administrative and technical position is responsible for the development, maintenance, coordination, and support of the County’s geographic information system (GIS) to advance the goals of the Lincoln County Land Records Modernization Plan. This includes the integration and coordination of tax listing, tax description and surveying activities. This position serves as the Land Information Officer and assistant administrator for the Land Information Program functions under the direction of the Land Services Administrator.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university in geographic information systems, geography, landscape architecture, or related field, and four or more year’s related experience and/or training in GIS.
- Experience with GIS and GPS programs, such as ESRI and Windows Operating Platforms.
- Experience and understanding of coordinate geometry (COGO) procedures.
- Experience managing relational database management systems (RDBMS), especially SQL Server and SDE Databases, is required.
- Knowledge and ability to work with current programming languages and CAD software such as AutoDesk is preferred.
- Must have a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, proof of insurance that satisfies Lincoln County requirements and a good driving record.
