This position is responsible for the maintenance of campus master CAD documents and data records relative to the campus physical facilities. It performs work according to a specified standard that is uniform throughout all campus records. It distributes this information via traditional and electronic methods to all necessary users of this information per established policies of the Facilities Planning Department. Work is performed under general supervision of the Director of Facilities Planning and/or the Facilities Designer. This position assists in managing complex construction projects. It assists in the preparation of capital budgeting documentation, project drawings and specifications for selected delegated State and Facilities Management projects.

Job Duties

  • 95% A. Record Keeping/Data Analyst/Data Entry 
    • A1. Revise all existing Campus Master Drawings to maintain up-to-date accurate versions of all campus facilities and landholdings including all owned utilities according to campus-developed standards. 
    • A2. Maintain campus facilities records in campus applications including AutoCAD and Revit. GIS and database experience is highly desirable. 
    • A3. Maintain and update campus information as it relates to building floorplans. 
    • A4. Maintain manuals of campus CAD, Revit, and database standards for the Facilities Planning Department. Maintain manual of standard operating procedures for all processes under the responsibility of this position. 
    • A5. Distribute campus planning documents through identified procedures to all users and customers on and off campus. 
    • A6. Detailed technical knowledge of building systems and construction methods is desirable.

 

  • 5% B. Administrative Assistant for the Director of Facilities Planning and/or the Facilities Designer
    • B1. Perform duties for the Director of Facilities Planning and/or the Facilities Designer in his/her absence as periodically assigned. 
    • B2. Perform duties periodically on a one time basis as assigned by the Director of Facilities Planning and or the Facilities Designer 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Demonstrated extensive detailed skill and knowledge with the latest version of AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office products. Goals A1 – A4.
  • Previous experience with construction processes and practices and the principles of campus planning. Goals A5 – A6.
  • Able to sit at a computer station and work for long periods of time without physical difficulty. Goals B1 – B2.
  • Able to lift 35 lbs, work outside exposed to the elements, walk through construction projects and over uneven ground without difficulty
