This position is with the Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Construction and Facilities Management Office, which is located on the east side of Madison, just north of the MATC Truax Campus on Wright Street. Job Duties: The primary responsibility of this position is the maintenance and expansion of an enterprise geographic information system (GIS) to provide improved support of the agency master, long range, and biennial capital planning, space utilization and optimization, environmental assessments, and facilities maintenance and renewal. In addition, this position will establish high quality processes and standards to conduct real estate transactions and modernize our land information records.
Special Notes: This position is required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Common Access Card (CAC) for the purpose of accessing a federal computer system. Acquiring a CAC requires a vetting and background check process.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: This position requires knowledge of developing, managing and maintaining GIS systems and data sets; personal computer applications for capital asset management; and Microsoft Office Suite products. This position also requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
