OVERVIEW
Provide technical and creative leadership for an emerging community of location-aware organizations. You will use your insight, creativity, and technical expertise to help our customers solve intricate enterprise problems as well as play a key role in designing and implementing complex systems for GIS solutions. Leverage your consulting and project management experience to support customers in defining and meeting their technical and business visions and objectives. You will help our customers translate real-world needs and implement practical, state-of-the-art GIS solutions based on Esri’s enterprise technology.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive the implementation and delivery of products and services based on aggressive project requirements and schedules
- Clearly communicate business efforts among project teams during all phases of solution development including requirements gathering and analysis, design, build, test, and deployment
- Work with program leads to understand overall business activities, workflows, and customer needs
- Define and maintain the project scope, cost, and schedule for multiple contracts
- Support agile project delivery with local and virtual teams
- Manage contract deliverables through the application of planning, tracking, change control, and risk management
- Coordinate efforts with the Esri marketing and sales teams to drive revenue tied to product development and services support
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience focused on engaging others in the delivery and execution of technical solutions and service deliverables
- Domain knowledge and experience in commercial retail
- Demonstrated experience in creating project plans and guiding teams through successful project execution
- Ability to lead and manage consulting and software development teams
- Experience with software development methodologies, including Agile frameworks such as Scrum
- Familiarity with desktop, client/server, and web applications and architectures
- Strong team skills and the ability to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal, writing, presentation, and leadership skills
- US citizenship and ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
- Bachelor’s or master’s in operations management, geospatial technology, computer science, or related field, depending on position level
RECOMMENDED QUALIFICATIONS
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- An understanding of the range of GIS and information management software products, from desktop to server applications and development tools
- Experience utilizing Esri-related technology in a professional environment
