Job Description:
60% – Process geographic data on trout habitat restoration into rational data structure, determine appropriate tool for accessing these data, and train and support customers in use of data access tools.
30% – Use GIS predictive muskellunge spawning habitat tool to delineate new spawning areas in GIS, produce map outputs of these areas for internal and external customers. 10% Update/maintain the Critical Habitat Designation GIS Database and compose cartographic representation of these GIS data, producing mapping outputs for internal and external customers.
Knowledge Required:
- Knowledge of fish habitat restoration principles.
- Knowledge of databases, preferably experience using Oracle.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Must be proficient in ArcGIS, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and use of e-mail.
Additional Information: This position is for a maximum of 1039 hours.
