History of Cartography Project
STUDENT HOURLY OFFICE ASSISTANT
Position available 1 July–31 December 2016
Position description:
• Pick-up and delivery of library materials, copying/scanning, mail handling, filing, data entry, correspondence, updates to Facebook, campus errands
• General office support and projects, as assigned
• 16-18 hours per week; weekdays, but flexible around your class schedule
• Starting hourly wage is $10.25 plus standard UW student hourly benefits
• Must be enrolled as a student; work study funding accepted
• Located in Science Hall, across from the Memorial Union
• Dedicated, friendly staff
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, database software (Filemaker strongly preferred), Adobe Acrobat, web browsers, and file sharing tools; ability to work effectively on Macintosh computers
• Excellent writing skills, attention to detail, efficient work habits, and the ability to maintain confidential information
