Continental Mapping Consultants is seeking a Geospatial Analyst who has experience working with HRTe to compile stereo terrain data for our clients. The Geospatial Analyst will be producing HRTe (Stereo) data and products in accordance with customer’s requirements to be completed on time and within budget. The Geospatial Analyst will work closely with the Project Lead and Project Quality Control staff, reporting current status, any quality concerns and address other project related items and may perform HRTe QC duties at the discretion of the Project Lead and/or QC Lead of a particular project.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Geospatial Analyst (HRTe [High Resolution Terrain elevation] production) is a full time position and will compile stereo terrain data to fully prepare the data for our clients. This position is the foundation of our production staff with a significant portion of project requirements being fulfilled by this position. The Geospatial Analyst will be producing HRTe (Stereo) data and products in accordance with customer’s requirements to be completed on time and within budget. The candidate will possess, at a minimum a Federal Government Secret clearance, strong technical skills, having the ability to troubleshoot software and data management issues. The Geospatial Analyst is proficient with the tools needed to complete assigned tasks and demonstrates a willingness to improve their workflow and quality. While working on assigned projects the Geospatial Analyst will work closely with the Project Lead and Project Quality Control staff, reporting current status, any quality concerns and address other project related items. The Geospatial Analyst could perform HRTe QC duties at the discretion of the Project Lead and/or QC Lead of a particular project. The Geospatial Analyst will report directly to their POD Lead with assistance from their Team Lead on daily work related activities. The Geospatial Analyst is required to learn the tools needed to complete assigned tasks and demonstrates a willingness to improve their workflow and quality.
This job is located in Sun Prairie Wisconsin.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must have an active secret clearance or higher
- The Geospatial Analyst must have sufficient experience in a professional environment with a minimum of 1-2-year experience with geospatial stereo data production applicable to the work performed at Continental Mapping.
- Extract stereo terrain data from a variety of sources
- Assist in work procedures/checklist updates and/or creation
- Perform product finishing tasks to client content and quality specifications
- Conducts quality control reviews of data and provides feedback
- Conduct peer review of data prior to QC where applicable
- Other duties as assigned.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Shares best practices with other employees
- Implements guidance adjustment information given by project lead
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of HRTe client specifications and requirements, data compilation workflows and best practices, and security requirements
- Excellent stereographic vision
- Demonstrated experience with Socet Set (or equivalent) for stereo compilation.
- Perform in process peer QC reviews.
- Ability to exercise considerable judgment and discretion in completing assignments.
- Outstanding organizational skills; strong ability to manage multiple assignments under deadlines; high level of personal initiative and follow-through.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, recognizing problems and finding solutions.
- Ability to establish and maintain project priorities.
- Ability to communicate efficiently and effectively.
- Strong understanding of spatial relationships, in the real world and databases.
- Make recommendations for process improvements.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- BS/BA Degree in a Scientific or Technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience with DoD geospatial stereo data manipulation.
- Must have extensive experience with stereo tool sets, example – Socet Set including extensions.
- Must have an active secret clearance or higher
