Traffic Data Editor

TrafficCast International, Inc., a leading traffic data company located in Madison, Wisconsin, is seeking a part-time hourly Traffic Data Editor to support the National Traffic Operations Center (NTOC). The applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent, with experience in using the Internet and a Windows-based operating system. Applicants should also have some basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, and web-based mapping applications such as Google Maps.

The Traffic Data Editor will work under a NTOC manager to support traffic data operations around the clock. The Traffic Data Editor is responsible for delivering real-time incident, construction, and flow data to multiple clients across North America. The Traffic Data Editor will produce and curate traffic data, review weekly reports generated by the production system, perform quality checks, and review system performance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor traffic incident, accident, and flow data across North America
• Create and produce traffic data based on web, social media, radio, and other reports
• Review weekly incident reports and perform quality checks on the traffic production system
• Document customer issues in a trouble ticket system

Desired Skills:

• Strong computer skills
• Proficient use of Microsoft Windows and Office
• Proficient use of Google Chrome and web-based mapping applications
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to multitask and attention to detail
• Flexible schedule, ability to work nights and weekends if necessary

Education and/or Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior help desk experience is preferred
