Job Duties:
Under general supervision of the Program and Policy Chief, this position will provide expertise and assistance to DOC divisions in the analysis of department data and utilization of that data in developing and presenting recommendations to division management. Information presented may include production of maps to appropriately represent that data. Position may also develop recommendations and solutions based on the analysis of the data. Duties of this position require the incumbent to have good technical skills and knowledge of DOC data systems.
The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting.
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge in the use of information systems, data extraction, preparation and analysis, and report generation.
- Knowledge of policy and program evaluation principles and practices
- Strong problem solving skills
- General knowledge of DOC data systems
- Good oral and written communications skills
- Ability to present complex data to audiences and assist with understanding analysis
- Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to create recommendations and solutions
