Continental Properties Company, Inc. is looking for the absolute best and brightest to join our team of dedicated professionals as a Market Research Analyst at our home office in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin.
This position works closely with the multifamily, retail, and hospitality development teams to facilitate a wide variety of activities associated with commercial real estate market research. The position will have the opportunity to use industry-leading research tools to identify and evaluate markets and sites for new development projects.
What you will do:
- Prepare research materials for multifamily, retail, and hospitality development projects including maps, reports, narratives, supply/demand analyses, and other research as needed
- Identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, trade areas, and sites for multifamily, retail, and hospitality development projects
- Serve as the “market expert” for a group of assigned markets (metro areas). Track economic and apartment market trends, employment expansions, apartment pipeline, housing trends, and other relevant information on an ongoing basis
- Identify potential multifamily development sites based on established criteria that includes visibility, access, parcel size, adjacent land use, proximity to retail and lifestyle amenities, and neighborhood demographics
- Research, understand, and report the relevant apartment fundamentals for multifamily development projects throughout the project life cycle, including market/submarket/comp set fundamentals and trends, supply/demand/absorption analysis, and lease-up performance
- Research, understand, and provide reports/maps of the multifamily supply pipeline for development projects using multiple sources and methods including third-party reports, media reports, municipal websites, municipal meeting minutes, and directly contacting municipal officials as needed
- Update multifamily, retail, and hospitality geospatial layers as needed for map products
- Provide research/mapping/data analysis support to multifamily operations, finance, and other internal customers
What we need:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Planning, Geography, or related field
- Two to three years of related experience; ArcGIS experience is preferred
- Strong (written and verbal) communication skills
- Exemplary presentation skills with an ability to confidently share relevant information to key stakeholders, including executives
- An unmatched attention to detail and strong work ethic
- Able to maintain an organized and efficient work environment
- Exercise good judgment and discretion when setting priorities and coping with competing demands
