Job Description:

Kohler Company’s GIS & Location Analytics team seeks a high-energy, dynamic candidate who is passionate about gaining insights from data, experienced in spatial approaches to problem solving, resourceful in data acquisition, and innovative in methodology design and engagement.    

Supporting a broad spectrum, the team works closely with Kohler Company businesses, corporate functions and Stewardship to derive insights, support decision making, deliver location as a service, and engage customers.  We seek an individual to join our team with strong analytical discipline, attention to detail, ease of communication, flexibility of mind, and a collaborative mindset. 

A Senior Geospatial Analyst must possess the ability to assist business users, scientists, technologists or related professionals with building, maintaining, modifying, and using innovative GIS solutions in a fast-paced, data-driven environment for diverse range of internal customers. Candidate will be expected to perform analysis, modeling, spatial data management, and application configuration in accordance with standards set by the geospatial center of excellence. As part of a team, the Candidate will also present insights and findings through maps, applications, graphs, tabular data, and formal presentations in virtual and in-person settings.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the timely development of spatial data, spatial and statistical models, and analyses for foundational components and special projects
  • Support the development, implementation and testing of analytics or statistical methodologies
  • Evaluate data, develop assumptions, and  data mining methodologies to evaluate insights and model results
  • Design methodology and perform analysis to identify spatial relationships and insights
  • Design and prepare graphic representations of GIS outputs to support defined business objectives to include maps, apps, graphs, or tabular data
  • Maintain or modify existing GIS databases
  • Review existing or incoming data for currency, accuracy, usefulness, quality, or completeness of documentation
  • Provide technical support to users or clients regarding the maintenance, development, or operation of GIS databases, equipment, or applications
  • Develop metadata and process documentation to support data, analyses and models

Skills & Requirements:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required – A focus in Geographic Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Geography, Business Administration, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of spatial data development, analysis, and information product production experience using ArcGIS and/or similar development platforms is required.
  • A Geographic Information Systems Certificate is highly preferred. 
  • Demonstrated capability in project collaboration, leadership, and presentation to groups large and small is required.
