Position Description Argonne’s Risk and Infrastructure Science Center (RISC) focuses on assuring the security and resilience of U.S. critical infrastructure and key resources that are threatened with disruption as a result of natural hazards, accidents, or deliberate acts such as terrorist attacks. The impacts of such disruptions—including impacts to human health and safety, the economy, and national security—must be understood for effective risk management. Argonne’s infrastructure science work incorporates physical and cyber security analysis databases and tools, modeling and simulation technologies, and expertise to support the entire preparedness spectrum: to prevent, protect against, mitigate, respond to, and recover from all hazards. We are seeking an experienced analyst to help plan, organize, coordinate, and participate in the development, enhancement and implementation of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology in support of the National Security GIS group within the Risk and Infrastructure Science Center (RISC).
