Description
The purpose of the GIS Intern/ Land Records Assistant is to assist the Geographic Information System (GIS) unit and the Conservation, Planning, & Zoning Department. This is a full-time LTE (Limited Term Employment) position.
Essential Duties
- Digitize land records
- Enter and retrieve data of graphic entities
- Assist with GIS functions
- Assist with CPZ functions
- Additional Tasks
- Utilize GIS and Global Positioning System (GPS) equipment
- And other duties as assigned
Minimum Training and Education
Required
- Individual currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s program for Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or another related field
Preferred
- Students who have already completed one or two degree related classes
