Job Summary
HERE is looking for a Product Manager to join our Open Location Platform team, and help us define and deliver the next generation location-centric development environment – specifically focusing on leading and managing the Geospatial Enrichment function of the platform. Located in the HERE Chicago, Seattle, Bay Area and/or Berlin offices, this PM will help us build best-in-class product functions that span platforms and screens, be directly responsible for cradle-to-grave product management, and the driving force behind a major part of the HERE Open Location Platform product stack.
In this role, you will use your deep understanding of platforms and technology to identify commercial opportunities, articulate product strategy, and drive requirements prioritization and implementation. You’ll challenge yourself and others to constantly come up with bigger and better ideas. You’ll persevere through seemingly impossible problems to make an impact. You’ll have the power to ultimately change the direction of our entire industry.
As part of this role, you’ll work across all HERE verticals, performing competitive analysis, defining required features, developing roadmaps for services, and working to deliver on next-generation customer requirements. In general, you will be responsible for defining documents and schedules that move innovative new products and services from the idea level to revenue-generating elements of the platform product stack.
As a seasoned PM, you will lead cross-functional efforts involving Marketing, Sales, Technology, Strategy, Finance, Development, Go-To-Market and other organizations. This role requires a significant wide range of skills – including technical acumen, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen focus on shipping great products.

Job Duties
- Lead the definition of the components and functions of the platform layer requirements for the Geospatial Enrichment layer of OLP which includes location analytics processors and services, map matching and compilation, and general purpose essential analytics processors
- Manage a team of product managers that will focus on the key components of the layer
- Manage the entire product life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities for the specific product layer of the platform
- Collaborate with other OLP product management teams to synchronize overall product roadmap deliverables
- Develop a cohesive product vision, considering market trends and opportunities, major customer needs, gaps in the current market offerings, as well as current and future competitive landscape.
- Participate actively in Go-to-Market Planning, collaborating with business groups to define and support effective strategies and messaging for driving customer adoption.
- Perform competitive analyses
- Work closely with Finance and Business Planning to build detailed business cases for product evolution
- Interface with Marketing groups to build Product Marketing materials for communication to Sales, customers, developers, and partners
- with potential partners and developer customers
- Drive internal and external evangelism of current and future Service capabilities
- Follow market developments and ensure competitiveness and differentiation
Qualifications & Experience
- BS or MS degree in computer science or engineering background strongly preferred; MBA a plus
- Significant (8+ years) work experience in Product Management or a related field (Program Management, Product Marketing), with a proven track-record of delivering products and services
- Demonstrated capabilities to lead a team
- Strong product management skills, and a demonstrated ability to lead in the face of complex technical challenges.
- Excellent oral and written Communication skills, coupled with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships.
- Solid understanding of UI/UX design principles and considerations
- Ability to reduce complex problems and requirements into implementable solutions
