Job Summary:
As a GIS Web and Business Application Developer for Minnesota IT Services, you will provide application development and support for GIS and Line of Business applications and web services supporting MnDOT. In addition, you will conduct maintenance and support activities for the Microsoft Dot Net applications, web services, and API management.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must clearly demonstrate all of the following qualifications in their resume:
This position requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience developing and deploying GIS and line of business applications.
Experience must include a combination of the following:
- ESRI suite of desktop tools and API’s.
- ESRI JavaScript API.
- Python programming in ESRI geoprocessing environment.
- Microsoft ASP.NET.
A Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field may substitute for three years of experience, related Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years, or related Associate’s degree may substitute for one year
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Microsoft Dot Net application design, development(c#) and maintenance, including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, code libraries and user standards.
- Willingness to expand knowledge in Microsoft ASP.NET.
- 2 years of experience with ESRI ArcGIS Server environment at the 10.x level.
- Any mobile iOS and Android development experience, including Xamarin cross platform.
- Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET MVC 4.0 or greater, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Oracle 11g, Oracle PL/SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft 2008 (or above) R2 Server Administration (IIS in particular).
- Experience programming in Python (2), Microsoft PowerShell, and supporting tool TFS, and Microsoft software testing technologies.
- Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise web services.
- Experience in object-oriented programming and the ability to apply techniques such as iterative development and rapid application programming.
- Demonstrated understanding of network and data infrastructure environments and their relationships to application management.
