Job Description:
The primary duty of the Real Estate program associate is to review grant records received from the US Fish and Wildlife Service and compare land acquisition costs, cost allocations, acreages and other grant information to ensure consistency in reporting in the DNR Land Records System. The program associate will compare records, highlight inconsistencies, record errors and log correction codes to the LRS database.
The Real Estate Program Associate will work closely with the Real Estate Land Records Officer until competency is displayed in records research, after which general supervision will suffice. Competency will be demonstrated through sound judgment displayed by the program associate in database reconciliation decisions and reporting. Frequent updates between Land Records Officer and Real Estate Program Associate are required to monitor quality of work and project progress.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review and document inconsistencies in federal interest records. (60%)
- Order and research paper files from state records center. (30%)
- Initiate communications and collaborate with related programs (5%)
- Other research related duties as assigned (5%)
Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with real estate land acquisition records and terminology.
- Proven ability to use personal computers, internet research tools, and the following Microsoft applications: Windows 10, MS Excel and Word.
- Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Proven ability to work and communicate well with co-workers.
- Ability to learn a large amount of information quickly and to use available documentation to research data
