3D Visualization Specialist

Job Description:

TRC is currently looking for a mid-level 3D Visualization Specialist to join our team in our Madison, Wisconsin office. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic to work with engineers, project managers, and other technical staff in the preparation of creating CAD Design and 3D visual media for project visualization of renewable energy facilities, utilities, and infrastructure, along with virtual reality environments. Organization, communication, high sensibility and attention to detail will be essential to efficiently produce quality outputs, while meeting budget and schedules on multiple concurrent projects. This role will help us enhance the creative media platform in our office.

Responsibilities:

• Responsibilities will include developing efficient workflow for 3D visualization and animation;
• Read and accurately interpret engineering drawings, 2D and 3D CAD files, or other 3D modelling data, as specified within projects and realize those designs as compelling imagery and VR environments.
• Provide CAD and Visualization support on a wide variety of engineering projects, including wind and solar farms, site remediation, utilities, pipeline and infrastructure;
• This specialist will analyze sketches, notes, and other input material to determine the best approach to prepare drawings and visualizations in a fast paced Engineering Firm;
• Work closely with the project team to understand the overall storytelling of the deliverable;
• Oversee post-production editing to rendered content;
• Ensure production budget and schedules are achieved

• Qualified candidates will have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 2 – 5 years of demonstrated experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Infraworks & 3Ds Max;
• Proficiency in developing 3D visualizations, and understanding of the 3D visualization production processes for modeling, texturing, lighting and environment setup;
• Creation of geometries within Civil 3D, including grading, alignments and corridors, along with materials for 3D modeling within 3Ds Max;
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects – min);
• 3D animation creation, and video editing knowledge is an advantage
